About this blog

I am a freelance outdoor activities instructor and trainer based in the Lake District in England.

As well as traditional outdoor sports instruction, I provide bespoke First Aid Training, Fall Protection Equipment Inspection and I assist with the development of Outdoor Education Risk Management Systems in International Schools in South East Asia.

I have worked in the outdoor industry since 1990 and in my spare time I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities from sea kayaking and sailing to walking the dog and sitting in the garden with a fire and a beer!
